Class A surfaces are the "exterior skin" of the vehicle — body sides, hoods, doors, fenders or pickup truck boxes. These components form the appearance of the vehicle, calling for flawless surface finishes.

Tower Automotive has extensive experience producing Class A surfaces and complete hang-on components. We are one of the few suppliers in the world capable of producing large Class A panels such as the outer body sides for the Ford Expedition, the largest individual stamped component provided by any auto supplier anywhere in the world.

Our Gent, Belgium plant supplies most of the Class A surfaces for the Volvo S40, V50 and C30 models.
