Challenge: Change over to revised component design to improve the ride quality of the current vehicle without interrupting production.

Solution: Tower applied its ingenuity to create new production fixtures which were tested and finalized on a prototype production line. We banked parts to allow Kia to continue vehicle production while we installed new fixtures and began production of the new components. The changeover was completed in only 13 days - exceptionally fast for a frame line. Sorento production continued uninterrupted as it transitioned to the new components.

Products: Tower provides the chassis frame, center floor assembly, dashboard wall assembly and other body structures as well as control arms. The frame features one-piece, full-length side members. Chassis frames are assembled on a fully automated line, one of the most efficient assembly lines in South Korea.
